Heather Ostertag Awarded the Order Of Canada
On October 30th, 2003, Heather Ostertag was awarded a member of the Order of Canada. Her investiture ceremony hosted by Governor General Adrienne Clarkson took place December 10, 2004 at Rideau Hall in Ottawa.
The language spoken when presenting Heather with this honor was “Heather Ostertag is known for her skills as an administrator and for her devotion to Canadian musicians. Now president, she has spent much of her career with FACTOR (the Foundation to Assist Canadian Talent on Records), an organization that supports the development and promotion of recording artists, from the first demo disc to international touring. She has also served on the boards of numerous industry organizations. Her contributions have been recognized with several honours, including membership in the RPM Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame.”

I am truly honored and humbled by this acknowledgement. I am especially proud that my father and sister accompanied me to Ottawa for this very auspicious occasion.” Heather is the 2,961st recipient of the Order of Canada.
